How to Disable Windows Insider Service in Windows 10

WISCVC, the shorthand for Windows Insider Service, is one of the many unnecessary built-in programs that Windows 10 have installed in every user's computer without explicitly notifying them. Although they are harmless in most cases, it may hamper some computer's performance. Hence, users who want to disable this unnecessary tool can use the following guide:

Step 1: Press Windows key + R to launch the Run box.

Step 2: Enter the Services,msc in the Run dialogue to open the Services.

Step 3: Scroll down the right part of the Services window and look for the Windows Insider Service entry.

Step 4: Right-click on the Entry and click on Properties.

Step 5: Switch to the General tab and find the Startup type option.

Step 6: Expand the Dropdown menu of it and select Disabled.

Step 7: Click on OK to save the change you have made.
