How to Deny or Allow Access to Downloads Folder on This Device

To protect users' privacy, Windows 10 prevents applications from accessing the file system, and user folders such as videos, music, and pictures. If an application wants to access those files, it will ask the user for permission. You may not remember whether you have granted an application access to the file system and now you want to deny/allow it. You can use these steps to do so:

Step 1: Right-click on the Start Menu button and then click on Settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Privacy > File system.

Step 3: Click the Change button and then switch on the toggle.
