How to Disable Access to Folder Options in Windows 10

Many useful features are included in the Folder Options in Windows 10, such as show all drivers, reset folder view, show/hide drive letters, show or hide menus, show hidden folders and files, and many more. There are many ways users can access Folder Options, such as the Search bar and File Explorer. If you don't want someone to change the settings tweaked by you, you can disable Folder Options, as the following instructions show:

Step 1: Press Win + R, type in Regedit and then open it.

Step 2: Navigate to

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer

Step 3: Right-click on the right pane, click on New and then DWORD (32-bit) Value.

Step 4: Rename the value NoFolderOptions.

Step 5: Double-click on NoFolderOptions, add 1 in the Value data box and then press OK.

Step 6: Re-launch File Explorer to confirm the change.
