How to Enable Lock Screen Instead of Sleep Mode in Windows 10

As many users have learned, Windows 10 locks the user account automatically when the computer is inactive for a few minutes. However, in some scenarios, it triggers Sleep mode instead of locking the screen. This is particularly inconvenient when you are working in public and need to leave your computer alone for a while. Hence, if you want to enable your computer to lock the screen automatically, use these steps:

Step 1: Press Win+I to open Windows Settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Accounts > Sign-in options.

Step 3: Scroll down the right page to look for the Require sign-in section.
