How to Add Apps to the Windows 10 Lock Screen

A Lock screen is an interface available usually seen on a computer or mobile phone. It appears after the device user wakes up the device. Then the device will require the user to type in a password and swipe the screen upwards if it is a touchscreen in order to access. The lock screen always comes up when the computer is in a dormant state.

An app is an application launched by users to perform a specific task. It's common knowledge that users are allowed to customize the Lock screen with pictures. But not everyone knows that users are allowed to add apps to Windows 10 too. Refer to the following instructions to learn how to do so:

Step 1: Press Win + I to open Settings.

Step 2: Navigate to Personalization > Lock Screen.

Step 3: Scroll down the right pane to find an instruction saying Choose which apps show quick status on the lock screen.

Step 4: Click on the '+' sign to add the apps you want.
