How to Change Default Webcam in Windows 10
To add and use a second webcam to your laptop is quite simple, but to use a secondary camera for chatting and video recording and for the webcam to co-operate with other software applications installed on your computer, you’ll need to disable the computer's built-in webcam and set the secondary webcam as the primary device. Refer to the following steps to learn how to do so:
Step 1: Connect the secondary webcam to your computer.
Step 2: Press Win + R and then type in Control Panel.
Step 3: change View by option to Small icons.
Step 4: Select Devices and Printers.
Step 5: Right-click on secondary webcam and then click on Set this device as default.
Step 6: Type in Device Manager in the search bar and then open it.
Step 7: Expand the Camera tree and then right-click on Webcam driver.
Step 8: Click on disable device.
