How to Create a Shortcut to Open Microsoft Edge Browser in Inprivate Mode

Every browser is designed to store information in the form of browser history, searches, cookies, passwords, etc. It could spare users the trouble of entering the website address manually whenever he/she visits the website.

However, this feature may slow down the speed of the browser, affecting the browsing experience. To boost your browsing experience, you can try opening the browser in InPrivate Mode.

Step 1: Right-click on the empty space on your Desktop.

Step 2: Select New > Shortcut from the drop-down menu.

Step 3: Type in the following path to the msedge.exe file in the box.

"%ProgramFiles%\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" -inprivate

If you are using a 64-bit Windows version, you could use the following path:

"%ProgramFiles(x86)%\Microsoft\Edge\Application\msedge.exe" -inprivate

Step 5: Name the shortcut.
