How to Disable Recycle Bin in Windows 10

Right-click on a file or folder, click on Delete, and then the file will be moved to the Recycle Bin. This is the common way users of Windows 10 delete unwanted files. It may seem that the recycle bin is a single folder that temporarily stores unwanted files. In fact, as many users know, each drive/partition on your computer contains a hidden recycle bin file that stores the files users have deleted from the the drive. So, if your drives always run out of space and you always delete files by pressing Shift + del, you might want to disable the Recycle Bin feature in windows 10. Refer to the following steps to learn how to do so.

Step 1: Right-click on the Recycle Bin on the desktop and select Properties.

Step 2: Under Recycle Bin location, select the drive for which you want to disable the Recycle Bin.

Properties

Step 3: Select the radio button next to Don’t move files to the Recycle Bin. Remove files immediately when deleted.

Step 4: Click on OK to finish the setting.
